What is a room spray?

A room spray scents a room in seconds. Where a reed diffuser holds a space in scent week after week, and a candle builds slowly as the wax pools, a room spray is immediate and temporary. It is what you reach for before guests arrive, when a room has been shut up too long, or when you want a space to feel different right now. Most homes end up using all three: a diffuser as the constant, a candle for the evening, a room spray for the moment.

Where to start

If you are new to us, Mandarin & Ginger is our best-selling scent and the safest place to begin. Citrus & Bergamot is the brightest, and the one for kitchens and bathrooms. English Bluebell is bolder than it sounds, and one of our favourites for hallways and landings. For the deeper, more grown-up end of the range, Orchid Noir and Vintage Dark Honey are where to look.

How to use a room spray

Hold the bottle upright, roughly 30cm from the area you want to scent, and press once or twice. Mist into the centre of the room rather than at a single surface, so the scent settles evenly rather than sitting in one corner. A light mist over cushions, curtains or bedding holds the scent for longer than air alone. Test on a hidden area first, and avoid spraying directly onto polished wood, delicate silks or painted surfaces.

Handmade in Kent

Every Little London room spray is blended, bottled and finished by hand in our Kent workshop, in 100ml amber glass with a fine mist atomiser. We work in small batches, so each bottle gets the attention it deserves. The range runs from bright citrus and bergamot through soft florals like bluebell and orange blossom, to orchid and dark honey at the deeper end, with more scents joining shortly. Considered, never mass-produced.
